Pot Growers Possible Cause of Forest Fires

Some of the forest fires that have burned across more than 100,000 acres of eastern Kentucky this year may have been set by marijuana growers clearing their plots, authorities said.
That’s just one explanation authorities have offered for the alarming number of arson fires in Kentucky’s Appalachian region this year. About 200 forest fires have been set in the last two weeks, 23 on Monday alone.
