$2.4-Million Error in Accounting Found

Police are missing $2.4 million and they say the culprit is bad bookkeeping.
Chief Jerry Dyer said the shortfall was caused by two grants that were earmarked for other purposes.
Dyer said the accounting error in the $91.5-million police budget will not affect patrols but could curtail special operations such as the violent crimes squad.
