Police Deny Shooting 4 Hunger Strikers

Turkish police denied fatally shooting four protesters in a raid in Istanbul on Monday, saying the leftists died after setting themselves ablaze.
Police on Monday stormed an Istanbul neighborhood with armored vehicles, tear gas and batons to quell a hunger strike by protesters opposed to Turkey’s prison reforms.
Human rights groups and family members have said police fired their weapons at random and shot at protesters.
