Red Cross Sets Classes on Its Origins, Role
The Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross is offering free classes on the guidelines of the International Red Cross Movement and the Geneva Convention, an agreement that governs treatment of wartime casualties and protection of civilians and hospitals.
The classes will also focus on the role of the organization during armed conflicts or natural disasters.
The sessions will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 29 and Dec. 18, and 1 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross, 600 Parkcenter Drive, Room 208, Santa Ana. Registration is required one week before class. Information: Nargess Akhavi, (714) 481-5396.
