College Instructor Accused of False Report
Charges have been filed against a part-time Mendocino College instructor who allegedly made a false kidnapping and hate crime report.
Sikander Lodhi was charged last week with filing a false report. Lodhi reportedly told detectives he was abducted at gunpoint in front of Hopland Farms. The kidnapper got into his car and said Lodhi didn’t belong on campus because he is of Middle Eastern descent.
Lodhi said the man got out of his car near Cloverdale, but not before smashing a window. Lodhi recanted the story when confronted with a videotape that shows him getting into his car alone.
