ID Badges May Be Required for Students
School officials are considering a new policy that would require sixth- through 12th-grade students to wear identification badges on campus.
District officials said they hope identification badges will help keep outsiders off school grounds and allow administrators to easily identify anyone who does not belong on campus.
From January to September, 111 nonstudents were found on the Yuba City High School campus.
“That’s 100 we’ve caught on our campus and that’s only what we’ve caught,” said Bob Kruse, the district’s director of student services.
