IBM Launches Global Security Unit

IBM Corp. said it established a global unit that will help companies and governments beef up security in their buildings and will gather and analyze information to defend against biological warfare agents such as anthrax.

Global Security Solutions will focus on technologies used to control access to physical locations and resources and those used in biohazard research applications.
