‘Poetry of Peace’ Rally Will Honor Lennon
The Los Angeles Alliance for Survival will hold a “John Lennon ‘Poetry of Peace’ Remembrance and Tribute” on Dec. 8 from noon until 3 p.m. in Hollywood, in front of the Capitol Records Tower Building, 1750 N. Vine St., next to John Lennon’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
The event, which is open to the public, will be hosted by Chris Carter of KLSX-FM’s “Breakfast With the Beatles.”
Tim Piper and his tribute band, Working Class Hero, will perform, and fans are invited to share poetry, prose, art or music in an open-mike session.
Fans are also asked to bring a flower for the creation of a giant, on-site floral peace symbol.
