“Have a Dickens of a Holiday” is the theme of the city’s Holiday Street Festival this year.

A tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Mission San Buenaventura on Main Street, but the actual festival will start the next day in the downtown cultural district, officials said.

The Sunday events will begin at 9:30 a.m. with 1.5- and 5-kilometer runs. The street activities will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
