Camulos Museum Hosts Fund-Raising Tour
The Rancho Camulos Museum will host a tour and holiday program to raise money for the museum’s restoration efforts.
“Christmas Begins at Camulos” will be held Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. at the museum, located off California 126 two miles east of Piru. The program will feature a guided tour of the museum and a history of the 40-acre preserve, which inspired the setting for Helen Hunt Jackson’s 1884 romance novel, “Ramona,” and has been designated a national historic landmark. There will also be ornament-making, children’s storytelling, music and caroling.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children under 12, and $35 for families. Visitors are asked to dress warmly and bring a flashlight if they plan to stay through the end of the program.
