* Denis Maynard joined QLogic Corp. in Aliso Viejo as vice president of sales. Mike Knudsen was appointed vice president and general manager of the Computer Systems Group and Frank Berry is the new vice president of corporate marketing. Maynard had been director of worldwide field operations at Cisco Systems. Knudsen formerly spearheaded Toshiba’s entry into the broadband communications business. Berry was previously vice president of product marketing for the Computer Systems Group.

* CardioGenesis Corp. in Foothill Ranch appointed Joseph R. Kletzel II to its board of directors. He is chief operating officer of Advanced Tissue Sciences.

* Hollywood lender Imperial Entertainment Group said it changed its name to Comerica Entertainment Group, reflecting the acquisition in January of parent Imperial Bancorp by Detroit-based Comerica Inc.
