Investigators Studying Human Remains
From Times Staff Reports
Investigators on Wednesday were examining human remains found in a remote region of Canyon Country, authorities said.
The bones were found Tuesday by a land surveyor near Mystery Mesa Drive, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Lendman said.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau, members of the county coroner’s office and a forensic pathologist have yet to identify the remains or determine the cause of death, Lendman said.
