Parolee Still Sought as Suspect in Rape
Police continue their search for an armed parolee who allegedly raped a woman at his home.
Roberto Mauricio Penate, 33, paroled a month ago after serving 11 years for rape and assault with a deadly weapon, attacked the delivery woman in the 170 block of Bonnie Brae Street on Sept. 27, police Sgt. Paul Capraro said.
The next day, Penate escaped from police by entering a home and forcing a resident to drive him away, Capraro said.
Penate is 5 feet 6 inches and 220 pounds, with dark hair and eyes, and a mustache and beard. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call authorities at (909) 620-2151 or (909) 620-2095.
