Lenox Manufacturing may close its last crystal stemware manufacturing plant in the U.S. by the end of the year. A decision on whether to close the Mount Pleasant, Pa., plant is expected in the next 45 days, said Brown-Forman Corp., the parent company that’s better known for its Jack Daniels Tennessee whiskey.

The Louisville, Ky.-based company employs 158 people at the plant, built in 1970 as the first factory in the United States devoted to hand-blown lead crystal.
