Plane With 8 Americans, 2 Spaniards Disappears
A chartered plane bound for Algeria with 10 people on board--eight of them American--disappeared off the eastern coast of Spain, officials said.
Besides the Americans, the plane carried two Spanish crew members, said Deborah Glassman, press attache at the U.S. Consulate in Barcelona.
The plane, which belonged to the company Flight Line, vanished on its way from Barcelona to Oran, said a spokeswoman for Spain’s Ministry of Development. In the last contact, the pilot asked for a change of route because of bad weather, the spokeswoman said.
