Extradition of Alleged Cocaine Smuggler OKd
From Times Wire Reports
Colombia’s Supreme Court approved a request to extradite the suspected leader of a cocaine smuggling group that authorities say used to ship 30 tons of the drug to the U.S. every month.
U.S. prosecutors say alleged drug kingpin Alejandro Bernal-Madrigal was a close associate of Fabio Ochoa, a former Medellin cocaine cartel leader extradited last month to stand trial in Florida.
Bernal-Madrigal is suspected of brokering cocaine shipments financed by Ochoa and others.
