Whether you are pressure-washing to clean your house or as a first step in surface preparation for painting, you must be careful to avoid damage. If the process can etch concrete, it can blast wood and vinyl.

Spray nozzle tips are sized in degrees, with zero being the most powerful. So start from the highest number and work down. Be certain to spray downward, especially on siding and flashing, to avoid lifting them and driving water underneath. Make sure all windows and doors are closed tightly.
