Popping the Bubbly for Deep

Rolling home after a hard night’s work, t’was a package at my door topped off with a cork. The champagne bottle adorned in pleather corset was an invitation to Deep’s first anniversary party Nov. 6.

I ran past the steamy Hollywood nightclub recently and learned my favorite rock star was caught in a compromising position. Yo, that’s deep.... The Coffee House on Sunset Boulevard is showcasing acoustic performers every Tuesday, and that’s exactly what the Strip needs right now--a folk-ish love-in .... Speaking of the Strip, Monday’s madness included a Zodiac Mindwarp reunion at the Key Club, witnessed by playa playa Mark McGrath and the boys of Motorhead. Over at the Roxy, the kids were swooning over Bush. Gwen Stefani, the Pitts (Brad & Jen) and the Arquettes (David & Courteney) were among the guests .... Word on the street is the Pig N’ Whistle is the hot new hang for the hip-hop set....

Halloween shenanigans include a special Sunset Rouge performance at the Sunset Room on Wednesday; a big shindig on Saturday at sixteen-fifty (a.k.a. Vynyl, though we aren’t supposed to use the name Vynyl anymore, thanks to a lawsuit filed by a New York club of the same name) .... We hear neighbors are trying to shut down the 7969 club (which everyone still calls Peanuts) because of noise issues. I think it’s because the club is so dang hot again. One sexy chica tells me Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were at 7969’s Saturday-night dance club, Grandville, last week, enjoying the midnight striptease show....And finally, to the small group of residents who constantly complain about bars, crowds and music in Hollywood: Move to Chatsworth.
