Chapman University to Host U.N. Conference
Housing, health, education and immigrant rights will be among the topics Saturday at the U.N. World Conference Against Racism, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance.
Rep. Diane Watson (D-Los Angeles) will speak at the Chapman University event, as will actress Tadia Rice.
The event, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., is sponsored by the Orange County chapter of the United Nations Assn., Chapman’s peace studies program, the county’s Human Relations Commission and other groups. Admission is free to high school and college students. A small donation will be requested of others.
