From Times Wire Reports

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore asked black legislators to submit a written plan for placing a monument to Martin Luther King Jr. in the rotunda of the state’s judicial building in Montgomery.

Moore held an almost two-hour private meeting over lunch with the legislators, who were still angry they were blocked last week from placing a temporary display honoring King in the rotunda near Moore’s newly installed Ten Commandments monument.

State Democratic Rep. Alvin Holmes decided to place the display in the rotunda after Moore had the Ten Commandments monument installed in the middle of the night without telling any other justices on the Supreme Court.
