Police Say Shooting Was Gang-Related
A suspected gang member standing in a garage at a residence was wounded in a drive-by shooting, Los Angeles police reported Monday.
The 23-year-old man, whose name was not released, was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the hip, said Sgt. Lisa Phillips of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
The gang-related shooting was reported shortly after midnight Sunday in the 9700 block of Telfair Avenue, Phillips said. The suspects fired from a black vehicle about 120 feet from the residence.
