Escapee Is Given Time to Find New Attorney
A judge Monday postponed the sentencing of jail escapee Kevin Pullum for attempted murder, after Pullum announced he wanted a different lawyer.
Attorney Dermot Givens said outside court that he didn’t want to represent Pullum anymore because his client refused to share information with him.
Pullum had been convicted of attempted murder when he walked out of the Twin Towers jail July 6 using a fake ID made with a picture of actor Eddie Murphy. He was free for 16 days.
The judge gave him until Sept. 25 to find another lawyer.
