* Toyota Motor Corp. raised U.S. prices on the Highlander mid-size sport-utility vehicle and some models of the Echo compact car. The 2002 Highlander will cost 1.4%, or $365, more than the current model, with base prices ranging from $23,880 to $30,795. The price of an entry-level 2002 Echo will remain at $9,995, but other versions will rise at least $60, or about 0.5%.

* Apple Computer Inc. called off its Apple Expo 2001 show in Paris, joining a growing list of business events canceled after last week’s terrorist attacks. The Expo, in its third year, was scheduled to run Sept. 26-30. The company did not say whether it would reschedule the expo.

* Coach Inc., maker of luxury handbags, leather gloves and accessories, reiterated that it expects an increase in fiscal first-quarter profit to 27 cents or 28 cents a share, with sales up 14%. Coach also plans to buy back as much as $80 million of its shares in the next three years, its first repurchase program, a spokeswoman said.
