Brooks to Seek 2nd Term as Sheriff

Ventura County Sheriff Bob Brooks has announced plans to seek a second term as head of the county’s largest law enforcement agency.
Brooks, 51, is running unopposed for the seat so far. Opponents can file candidate papers between Nov. 12 and Dec. 7. The election is March 5.
An invitation-only party to kick off Brooks’ campaign is set for Oct. 7 at Lake Casitas in Ojai.
