A 19-year-old sought in connection with a 1998 shooting after a traffic dispute has been arrested in New Mexico, police said.

Pedro Jesse Sanchez, 19, is being held at the Bernalillo County Detention Center and is expected to be brought back to Orange County to face charges in the 1998 slaying of Chad Huber, 20, formerly of Buena Park.

Police said Huber and two companions in a car traveling on Los Alamitos Boulevard got into an argument with three men in a pickup, including Sanchez. When the two groups reached Katella Avenue, Huber and Sanchez got out. Sanchez fired shots at Huber, then fled, police said. Huber died at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
