Oldtimers Picnic Will Celebrate El Toro’s Past

The 76th annual Oldtimers Picnic will be sponsored Sunday by the Orange County Pioneer Council.
Speakers will be the Osterman brothers--Joe, John and Jim--longtime residents of the former community of El Toro, now part of Lake Forest.
Residents of all ages who are interested in the county’s early history may bring a picnic lunch and join in, organizers said. People also may bring old photographs so that others may help identify the locations and people in them.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hart Park.
