Conference Aims to Get Men Active in Community

Men’s involvement in their communities is the focus of a conference Saturday sponsored by the city and several local agencies.
“Wives should send their husbands, women should send their men, children should send their fathers,” facilitator Alejandro Moreno said.
The gathering, conducted in Spanish, is free to the public and runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Corbin Center, 2115 McFadden Ave. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
A similar program in English is set for Nov. 17 at Santa Ana College.
