From staff and wire services

A series of “living room dialogues” will aim to foster better understanding among people of diverse religions and cultures in the wake of Sept. 11.

Rusty Kennedy, executive director of the Orange County Human Relations Commission, said the meetings are designed “to give residents from many cultures and backgrounds the opportunity to talk to each other, share their lives and learn about one another in facilitated dialogues.”

Each group of 10 to 15 members representing diverse cultures, religions and backgrounds will meet at least three times in living rooms or public settings across the county to share their thoughts, stories and family histories.
