Liberal Leadership

Share

The Times states in its April 18 editorial on LAPD Chief Bernard Parks that the new prospective head of the LAPD must pass several crucial leadership tests. It then unfortunately lists them, leading with a call for a “ . . . gender- and colorblind search . . . “ for the new chief. This clumsy, politically correct and morally confused opening salvo paves the way for a slew of other absurd items on The Times’ left-of-center litmus test.

Not one of the leadership recommendations by The Times concerns the main duty of any police chief--the effective containment of crime. This sort of blindness to the obvious is the heart and soul of political correctness.
