From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Jury selection will begin this week in the third trial of a Buena Park man accused of killing a teenager who stole a Halloween decoration from in front of his home in 1999.

A jury in December deadlocked 9 to 3 in favor of conviction on second-degree murder, prompting a mistrial. The first jury to hear the case convicted Pete Solomona of second-degree murder, but a judge overturned the conviction.
