Date Set for Jiang to Visit Bush Ranch
From Times Wire Reports
President Bush will play host to Jiang Zemin at his Texas ranch Oct. 25, giving the Chinese president a down-home welcome despite differences over weapons proliferation, Taiwan and human rights.
“The visit is an opportunity for the president to work with the Chinese leader on a number of areas,” the White House announced.
“They will discuss a number of issues, including the ongoing campaign against terrorism and nonproliferation.”
Bush and Jiang last met in Beijing in February.
