From Times Wire Reports

The first person to be tried in Britain under sweeping terrorism laws in the wake of Sept. 11 was acquitted.

London chef Sulayman Balal Zainulabidin, 44, was arrested in October and charged with running a Web site offering to send would-be terrorists on a U.S.-based weapons training course. He said he was a scapegoat.

Prosecutor Mark Ellison told the jury that Zainulabidin’s Web site included articles such as “I want to be a pilot so I can bomb America.”
