Here’s to ‘Marvelous Marin’

As a resident of Marin County in the ‘70s (“Seeking the Soul of Marin,” by Scott Harris, July 14), let me say: 1) It is never just “Marin.” It is “Marvelous Marin,” as in, “I don’t live in San Francisco, I live in Marvelous Marin.” 2) Hot tubbing has always been a real phenomenon of Marin County. My best memory? Joining 20 naked folks from my Gestalt group for some wine and conversation one night in a hot tub with a killer view of San Francisco and the bay. 3) The “right feng shui” should be a determining factor for anything in Marin. After all, Marin has always been known for being unique in its self-indulgent quirkiness.
