Father of Teen Killer Is Convicted of Murder
The father of a Richmond teenager who fatally shot his 12-year-old friend has been convicted of first-degree murder for not stopping the murder.
Roman Sunday was convicted Tuesday in Contra Costa County Superior Court. He was home two years ago when his 13-year-old son Roman and friend Shelton Eaves lured Blair Moore into the house, tied him up and beat him. The younger Sunday believed Moore had stolen from him, according to testimony.
Both boys testified that the elder Sunday drove them to a park with Blair bound and gagged in the trunk. Moore was then killed by a shotgun blast fired by Sunday Jr.
