Bertelsmann Boosts Units’ Independence

Media group Bertelsmann is taking steps to strengthen the independence of its divisions by abolishing a central management committee at its German headquarters, Chief Executive Gunther Thielen said.
The corporate executive council was set up by Thielen’s predecessor, Thomas Middelhoff, who quit last month.
