2 Men Arrested in Armed Robbery at Market
Two Pacoima men were arrested Tuesday afternoon on suspicion of robbing a Simi Valley Smart & Final outlet of an undisclosed sum of money, police said.
Authorities said Marco Miranda, 30, entered the store in the 1800 block of Erringer Road about 2 p.m. holding a shotgun and demanding money from two cashiers.
After being handed the cash, police said, Miranda ran to a parked car and fled in a vehicle allegedly driven by Jose Rojas, 23.
The men led police on a brief chase that ended at a shopping center, authorities said.
One man was arrested outside a Target store and the other inside a Mervyn’s store, police said.
No one was injured, but several dozen shoppers fled Mervyn’s when police rushed in, authorities said. Police recovered money and a shotgun.
