Jailed Mobster, Wife Charged in Smuggling
A New York mobster believed to have smuggled his sperm out of a prison has been indicted, along with his wife.
Kevin Granato came under suspicion four years ago after he was seen in a visitation room at Allenwood Federal Prison showing off a toddler he said was his, even though he had been in jail since 1988.
Granato, 42, and his wife, Regina, each were indicted on two counts of criminal conspiracy. She could get six years in prison if convicted. Granato, whose current sentence runs until 2012, could get 35 more years.
