Weather Forces Shuttle to Remain in Orbit
Thick clouds moved in at the last minute and prevented space shuttle Endeavour from landing with the former residents of the international space station.
The delay added a 183rd day in orbit for U.S. astronaut Peggy Whitson and her two cosmonaut crewmates -- and probably a 184th day, given today’s forecast.
Mission Control said it would wait until today before deciding whether to try to bring Endeavour back in the afternoon.
Endeavour can stay in orbit until Sunday. It has enough fuel for four more landing attempts.
