Avista Says No Improprieties Found

Avista Corp. said federal regulators found no evidence of wrongdoing by the utility owner in an investigation of alleged market manipulation by traders during California’s energy crisis.
Avista had denied commission allegations that the company improperly served as a middleman to legitimize otherwise forbidden trades between Enron Corp. and Portland General Electric Co., Enron’s Oregon utility.
