Water Meters to Track Use by Farmers, Others

From Times Wire Reports
Farmers and industrial water users on Mendocino County’s Russian River must install water meters within four months as officials try to track consumption, officials said.
The Russian River Flood Control and Water Conservation Improvement District will advise about 70 growers, water districts and other businesses that use water under the district’s permit.
The district is entitled to 8,000 acre-feet of water from Lake Mendocino every year, but its low level this year is raising concerns about water shortages.
