* German media firm KirchMedia signed a $500-million deal giving it the rights to Paramount Pictures Corp.’s film library through 2011. The library includes offerings such as “Vanilla Sky” and the “Star Trek” television series, the company’s bankruptcy administrator said. KirchMedia includes a majority stake in television group ProSiebenSat.1, the country’s second-largest private broadcaster. Creditors agreed at the end of October to sell KirchMedia to Heinrich Bauer Verlag.
