Autry lawn care
FOR the sake of their fine collections, I’m glad to hear the Autry Museum of Western Heritage and the Southwest Museum will merge (“A Union of Cowboys and Indians,” by Christopher Reynolds, Dec. 11). I must admit my real concern, however, is that the Autry not expand and build on the big south lawn off the museum courtyard.
In a city criminally lacking in open green space, the Autry lawn is one of the best places in Los Angeles for pastoral recreation. Especially Frisbee. Save the Southwest collection, but not at the expense of the Autry lawn.
