British mobile phone maker Sendo said it has filed suit in a U.S. federal court against former partner Microsoft Corp., accusing it of stealing its technology and customers.

The court filings in Texarkana, Texas, allege that Microsoft extracted crucial information about the industry from Sendo and passed it on to friendly low-cost contract manufacturers in Asia.

Microsoft executives declined to comment. Microsoft is a minority shareholder in Sendo.
