Man Gets 6 Months for Illegal Dumping

A 48-year-old Oxnard man was sentenced to six months in jail for illegally dumping 2,000 gallons of sewage into a manhole in Oxnard, officials said Tuesday.
Robert Lopez Simental, a waste transporter for Ely Jr. Pumping Co., pleaded guilty Monday to dumping the waste and driving a commercial vehicle without the proper license.
After entering his plea in Ventura Superior Court, Simental also was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to pay $1,000 in fines, documents show.
