Pope’s poems to be published
Pope John Paul II’s meditations on life as a pontiff will be published in his native Poland, the Catholic Information Agency announced Monday.
The book is said to include the 82-year-old pontiff’s thoughts on who his successor will be.
The pope, author of several bestselling books, including “Easter Vigils and Other Poems,” has not published any poetry since the start of his pontificate in 1978.
The book is scheduled to be published as early as January in Krakow, the city where the pope was archbishop before being elected Pontiff.
