Endorsements for Bamieh, Totten for District Attorney’s Post

I am a mother and schoolteacher. My entire life revolves around the protection and growth of our children. I care deeply about the community in which my children and my students will be raised. We must provide for our children the safest and best community we can. I have known Ron Bamieh for years. I have seen him put away wife beaters, rapists and skinhead murderers.

With every victory, my respect for Ron has grown. I believe that he is truly a man who protects our community.

I cannot help but feel that if every prosecutor worked as hard as Ron Bamieh, our community would be rid of criminals.

Now that we have the chance to elect him as our district attorney, we should not hesitate to vote for him and ensure the safety of our children for years to come.

Mr. Bamieh is outdistancing his opponent by nearly 2 to 1 in raising campaign funds. But follow the money trail. His money is coming from his father in San Mateo, a Texas oil tycoon, a former presidential candidate, a former national security advisor and a couple of former ambassadors, among other out-of-state people. I don’t think for a moment they are interested or really care about D.A. services to the people of Ventura County. It sure appears Mr. Bamieh is just using this as an attempt to buy an office, drop Ventura County in a term or so, and push off into bigger and better personal political adventures in Sacramento or even Washington.

Greg Totten’s campaign contributors are very much Ventura County citizens. Citizens who want our D.A. to continue to uphold the high standards set by Mike Bradbury. Greg will perform his duties in a first-class manner and will listen to our needs, not those from out of state.

I want a person who is interested in Ventura County, who will be here for us. Not a candidate with a flashy strategist from New York who has worked on campaigns for out-of-state governors and senators, and even an Israeli prime minister.

We are talking about a D.A. for Ventura County, not someone running for office out of state.

Greg Totten is absolutely the clear choice for D.A. for Ventura County.
