There are memorials in Washington for many veterans, but not for at least one group of American fighters. Students at Upland High School are joining others seeking a National War Dog Memorial to honor the thousands of dogs that have served in the armed services. Supporter John Sciascia of the Vietnam Dog Handler Assn. said building a monument will cost $5 million to $7 million. Members of Upland High’s Pets ‘N Pots club have raised $80,000 so far.
