Park Buys Private Acreage From AT

The last large piece of privately held land at Point Reyes National Seashore has been acquired by the national park. The 522-acre parcel was bought from AT&T; for $2.1 million.

The property is nesting habitat for the federally threatened western snowy plover as well as the federally endangered plant Sonoma alopecurus. It is also home to elephant seals.
