The State Department on Feb. 1 renewed its “Worldwide Caution” through Aug. 1. Citing the “potential for retaliatory actions” after U.S. military activity in Afghanistan, it urged traveling Americans “to review their circumstances carefully and to take all appropriate measures to ensure their personal safety.” More than 20 nations are subjects of specific travel warnings.
