Even the Salads Are Meat

Schreiner’s in Glendale is famous for its sausages and other meats, some of which go into creamy salads that can be served as appetizers. Ham salad, which is really a spread, consists of ground Black Forest ham, mayonnaise and pickles. Finely sliced bologna and ham are mixed with mayo and pickles for a wurst salad. Spoon these onto crackers or rye bread squares, which you can also buy at Schreiner’s.
